Say cheese with Bella Stella's formagella, a brie-like cheese made in Lumby and sold at the Vernon Farmer's Market. They also make formaggino (a spreadable cheese, similar in texture to cream cheese), ricotta and mountain cheese. The formaggino is available in plain, garden herb and provincial flavours. The Triple Island Cheese farm, outside of Cherryville, is known for its world class Gouda and Maasdammer cheeses, made the traditional way.
Try some exotic oils and tantalizing vinegars at Olive Us Oil and Vinegar Tasting Room in downtown Vernon. They also have pastas, exotic salts and spices and some great gift and specialty items.
