Vernon is located in the northern region of British Columbia's world renowned and stunningly beautiful Okanagan Valley. Our moderate climate, laid back lifestyle and exceptional recreational and cultural experiences make Vernon and the surrounding area one of the most desirable places to visit.
We offer a wide selection of amenities, experiences and places to stay, and we offer them year round.
The city of Vernon was established back in 1846. We are a small city of around 42,000 people. We are surrounded by lakes, forests, mountains and agricultural land. Kalamalka Lake, our lake of many colours, has been called the most beautiful in the world. Okanagan Lake is home to the legendary Ogopogo, and our smaller lakes are well known for the fishing and recreation.
