Put on those Skinny Skis!

Sovereign Lake and Silver Star Nordic areas enjoy reputations as the best places to get some early season conditioning on those skinny skis.  I can imagine that Scott, Glenn and the gang at Sovereign are grinning from ear to ear today as they open the trails for another season.   Word has it that Silver Star will open tomorrow for nordic and I'll bet they are just as excited. 

Nordic skiing is definitely on my list of "to do's" for this season.  Unfortunately my first task is to do the seasonal transfer of bikes and boats to the rear of the garage so that I can make sure the ski bags, ski racks and snowshoes are front and centre for the winter.   I know they are in there somewhere!

A couple of key learnings for anyone who lives in the beautiful Okanagan...1.  Make sure your house has enough bedrooms for all the long-lost relatives and friends who 'drop by' ....and 2.  make sure your garage can handle not only the cars but all the fun stuff like kayaks, skis, bikes, and boats.
