Farmers’ Market
An abundance of fresh fruit and veggies, meats, snacks, locally crafted handiworks, flowers and more can be found at the local famers’ markets in Vernon. From mid April right through to the end of October, shop the markets and experience all the North Okanagan has to offer. The Vernon Farmers Market takes place every Monday and Thursday mornings from 8 am until 12 noon in the parking lot of the Wesbild Centre. The Vernon Friday Night Farmers’ Market runs from 3 pm until 7 pm in the Sport Chek parking lot at the north end of Village Green Mall.

Wine Festival
Four fabulous wine festivals take place throughout the Thompson Okanagan every year. This fall, the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival takes place from September 30 through October 10 and will offer more than 100 wine-related events, sure to please both new and seasoned wine enthusiasts.
In 2011, the Okanagan Winter Wine Festival will take place at Sun Peaks from January 19 through 23. The Okanagan Spring Wine Festival takes place April 29 through May 8 at various locations throughout the Valley. The Okanagan Summer Wine Festival will also take place at numerous Valley venues between August 12 and 13, followed by the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival September 30 through October 9, 2011.
