Every winter, the Greater Vernon area becomes a favouriite destination for snowmobilers. The Vernon Snowmobile Association www.vernonsnowmobileclub.org offers a wealth of information that riders will find particularly helpful, from trip planning tips to avalance safety, trail guides and more. The Vernon Snowmobiling Association has worked hard to develop and maintain a trail system in Silver Star Provincial Park. Riders will also enjoy heading out to the Monashees, east of Vernon past Lumby. Be sure to check avalanche conditions before heading out and notify someone of your planned route.
