Visitor Centres

Love life in the Okanagan? Love our visitors?
Then consider volunteering at the Vernon Visitor Centre. Volunteers are needed for both the south and north locations, from June through September. We’re looking for people who love where they live, and who’re keen to share everything Vernon and area has to offer.

Vernon Visitor Centre

 

The Vernon Visitor Centre is conveniently located at 701 Highway 97 South in renowned Watson House, a beautifully restored heritage building. We offer a large parking lot for RV's and a detailed information service sign which includes a local map, a large landscaped rest area with picnic tables as well as a pet friendly area. Internet access and handicap washrooms are also available. We are open from 8:30 am until 6 pm, seven days a week, from June 21 through to September 6, 2010.

Vernon and Area Discovery Centre

The Vernon and Area Discovery Centre is located in the north end of Vernon, right across from Art Knapps and Squires Four Pub on Highway 97.  We provide visitors and locals with tourism-related information for the North Okanagan. Each week we will feature one of our local businesses so please stop by and see us! You’ll be amazed at what Vernon and area has to offer. Hours of Operation: Sun through Wednesday: 10 am to 6 pm; Thursday through Saturday: 9 am to 6 pm. Call (250) 550-6474 for more information.
