Devour Vernon – The 3-day Foodie Vacay
Sip, snack, and devour the flavours of our unique valley. This is a vacation for you and a celebration for your tastebuds.
Day 1
Start your trip off right with breakfast at The Roxy Café (vegan and Gluten intolerant friendly). They have loads of great homemade options.
Pie is perfection any time of day. Stop by Davison Orchards and pick up a homemade pie from fruit grown in the orchard at the Farmhouse Café.
Next, head just around the corner from Davison Orchards to Planet Bee Honey Farm where you can do a complimentary Honeymoon Mead Tasting.
For dinner, you don’t want to miss the culinary experience at Kawakubo Sushi — ranked one of the best spots for sushi in Vernon.
Round out your evening sipping on a cocktail in a tropical paradise at the Cabana Bar and Kitchen, a favourite spot for a nightcap.
Day 2
Hit the Vernon Farmers’ Market for fresh produce, local artisan products, and live music.
For lunch, build your own local picnic of delicious-ness at tasty shops in Downtown Vernon to then head to Civic Park for a picnic. Places you’ll want to check out are: the Wedge Cheesery, Hot Bread Shoppe, Olive Us Olive Oil and Vinegar Tasting room, Sweet Hoopla, and The Fig Bistro.
For dinner, hit the newest Italian spot in town and grab wood-fired pizza at Masiero Pizzeria Napoletana.
Day 3
Start the day early and head to one of the u-pick orchards like Peter's U-Pick or Bright Angel Farm to grab some fresh cherries or peaches straight from the trees.
At lunchtime, enjoy a hearty sandwich from Helmut’s Sausage Kitchen.
For dinner, enjoy savoury dining Intermezzo Restaurant and Wine Cellar before or after sipping at Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery. Book a whisky or gin tasting experience to learn about how they make their award-winning spirits. Don’t forget to buy a bottle to bring home as a souvenir.
