Take to the Trails
Vernon is a hidden gem for mountain biking. As they say, "around here, there's a trail for everyone" and it rings true. Ranging from flat wide scenic paths to steep rocky trails through the trees, we have mountain biking for every skill level. Ask a local for their favourite trail recommendation.
Catch the lupines and apple blossoms that cover the hills surrounding Vernon. Some of the best views can be found at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park and along the Grey Canal Trail - we suggest the Coldstream Valley section and the Bella Vista section.

Arts & Culture
Experience some of the best community theatre this spring at the Powerhouse Theatre. With showings between May 1 and May 11, The Exquisite Hour "is a sweet ode to bygone days when the world's knowledge seemed to be contained in encyclopedias and peddled by a door-to-door salesman."
Catch the last two performances of the season at the Vernon Jazz Club on May 4 and May 25.
The annual Mugs of May Art Show & Sale is your chance to nab a beautiful, one-of-a-kind piece of pottery made by local artisans. The show takes place throughout the month of May and new pieces are brought in regularly so be sure to pop in a few times.
