Farm to Fork, also known as Farm to Table, is a way of life in our area, where fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful. We also have several beef, pork, and poultry producers in the valley. Farm to Fork is easy here. Just head down to the Farmers' Market or one of the farms for fresh ingredients to create your own dishes. Here are a few for you to discover:
Mondays and Thursdays, be sure to explore Vernon Farmers' Market held outdoors at Kal Tire Place. You'll find over 100 growers and artisans ready to offer up fresh picked fruit, preserves, gourmet food, vegetables, eggs, dairy products, meats, seafood, crafts, art, plants, flowers, gifts and baking. The market moves indoors to Fridays, November to April.
Cool down in the shade of the mature trees and take in the entertainment at the Polson Artisan Night Market Fridays during the summer from 4 pm to 8 pm at Polson Park on Highway 6. Roughly 50 vendors will be featured weekly from the surrounding area, come down to support the local artisan community as well as finding fresh produce, entertainment, and other delicious treats!
This family run farm sells and creates dishes with everything they grow here. Spend the day with friends and family at Davison Orchards and have lunch at their patio café. Make sure you have some mouth watering baking from the Farmhouse Bakery, and some of their freshly pressed pure apple juice, it tastes like nature in a bottle! When you want to take a little taste of the Okanagan home with you, their online store features a huge selection of homemade preserves, gourmet specialty foods, and country gifts, and in-season produce.

Enjoy beautiful culinary and community experiences with a menu that supports local farmers combined with live music and events, perfectly paired with delicious, fresh-pressed cider made from fruit grown right on site.
Come and visit the sweetest place in the valley! Learn about the amazing world of the honeybee at Planet Bee Honey Farm. Sample your way through the 20+ flavours of honey at their tasting station or watch the bees in action in the glass observatory. For those 19+, sample one of their handcrafted meads, made with local honey and ingredients and offered in a range of sweetness levels.
Since 1870, Helmuts Sausage Kitchen have been creating authentic artisan meats, and for the past 50 years have been doing so in the Okanagan. Take a scenic drive out to Coldstream and enjoy country style cooking at its best. Opened in 1996, Friesen's is one of Vernon's best kept secrets! This multi-faceted agri-tourism business includes a home-style bistro, bakery & much more! Weekend and holiday brunch runs from May to September, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bakery is open year round.
Just a short drive along Highway 6 takes you to Lavington and Tony's Craft Cidery. Using farm fresh apple varieties and fruit grown on 50 acres, a variety of ciders are crafted that are sure to please. All of their cider is gluten free. Freshly picked fruit is available for purchase in the summer and picnic snacks are available in their tasting room.
The Farmstrong Cider Company in Armstrong invites you to come back to the farm and experience handcrafted local ciders. Kids won't mind waiting for their wood-fired pizza as there are plenty of board games to keep them busy in the original barn with its colourful, patchwork tin roof. Dog-friendly and a full lunch and dinner menu are offered.
Located at 2539 Pleasant Valley Blvd. in Armstrong, (20 minutes north of Vernon) the Wild Oak has simple food with big flavours. Muffins, pies, soups and melts are just some of the tasty treats you'll find here. This kid friendly café is known for its great coffee and its hands on local owners.
