Soak up the sun at some of Vernon’s best beaches. There's a variety of beaches to enjoy within minutes of downtown Vernon. We have beaches that are perfect for standup paddling, kayaking and others where you can sit under the shade of a tree, read a book or watch the world go by. Visit a family-friendly or dog-friendly beach.
Hurlburt Park: A perfect place to launch your canoe, SUP or kayak; this beach comes complete with a dock, swimming platform and picnic tables.
Kin Park and Canoe Beach: Grassy park complete with jungle gym and shallow water.
Otter Bay Beach: Western Canada’s only freshwater dive park located in Ellison Provincial Park.
Paddlewheel Park Beach: A local’s favourite with a boat launch, playground and plenty of shade.
Cosens Bay Beach: Popular with boaters, there is plenty of space to stretch out and is pet-friendly at the eastern end of the beach.
Jade Bay & Juniper Bay Beaches: Picnic, swim and unwind; paved trail, fully accessible.
Kalamalka Beach & Rotary Pier: Bring the whole family for fun in the sun. A popular launch point for paddle boarders.
Kirkland Beach: A playset, shade and parking make this a family favourite.
Pumphouse Beach: Small sandy beach that leads into rocky, shallow waters.
