A fun way to get around and see the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Vernon is on a bicycle. Bring your own or rent one from Skyride, Sun Country Cycle, Olympia Cycle and Ski and Kalavida.
Grab your friends and family and head out for a day of exploration. Stop by one of our delicious cafes or restaurants, grab a bite to eat or a meal to go and spend the day enjoying one of our many parks.
Polson Park has a picnic shelter, playground and washrooms. Stay downtown and head over to enjoy a meal on the grass outside of the museum. Check the Downtown Vernon website for any live music events with food trucks on site.
There are several art galleries and museums in Vernon, all within a relaxing bike ride of each other. Tour the larger than life murals and then head inside for some art and a little history at the Vernon Art Gallery.
Early birds unite (by bike) in Downtown Vernon and sip on Vernon’s best cups of coffee and tea at one of the many cafes, all of which have outdoor seating. You can stop by Triumph Coffee and bring your bike inside for peace of mind. After you’re all fuelled up, cycle down to Kal beach for a relaxing afternoon on the shores of Kalamalka Lake.
Later in the day, wind down with some tasty samplings right around the corner from each other. Check out Monashees for beer, cider, wine and spirits tastings.
A quick one minute ride from Monashees and you are at Marten Brew Pub. It’s a great way to end your cycling day. Remember to drink and cycle responsibly.
