Japanese Food & Film Festival "Itadakimasu"

Please join us at the Vernon Japanese Cultural Centre for a fun-filled day of film, food, and DIY cultural activities.

The Vernon Japanese Heritage School students will proudly screen the short film "Itadakimasu" (I Humbly Receive) that they subtitled, and guide you through activities centered around Japanese food and how to eat it - with chopsticks! Learn about the history of chopsticks, enjoy some taiko drumming, make your own rice balls, and purchase Japanese food.

The event offers something for all ages, combining entertainment, hands-on activities, and cultural learning in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
