Join the Youth Climate Corps BC Vernon team on an urban social bike ride through the city. Everyone is welcome to this beginner friendly, slow paced, and fun community excursion.
Over the summer, this youth-led initiative focused on community-based climate action is putting on a series of social e-bike rides in partnership with Kalavida, HUB cycling, and the City of Vernon. The event will kick off with a safety check, e-bike familiarization, and bike path navigation instructions. Once everyone is comfortable on their bikes, let the wheels start rolling!
Where:
Meet at Kalavida. Be sure to give yourself enough time to get set up before the ride start time.
When:
July 17th and August 7th: The ride will depart from Kalavida and continue along Vernon's bike paths to the Vernon Farmers' Market.
July 25th: Also departing from Kalavida, tour along to the Polson Artisan Market.
Each ride will end with a celebration over coffee and snacks.
