Soak up summer vibes in Vernon and enjoy great live music all month long. Along with terrific tunes, take in breathtaking views, savor delicious food, and dive into new experiences! 

Silver Star Summer Music Series

Music + mountains? Count me in! Enjoy free live music in the Silver Star Village every Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm (last date is September 6th).

There will be many different bands, and a musical genre for everyone. Be sure to check out the artist lineup 

Downtown Sounds

Pull up a chair or throw down a blanket in Civic Park (beside the Greater Vernon Museum) for Downtown Sounds, a free live music event every Thursday night this month. Play the provided lawn games, grab a snack from the food trucks, and dance the night away! Concerts run 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

This August, artists are invited to join Plein Air sessions in the beautiful heritage gardens and immerse themselves in the beauty of the property. Explore the house with guided tours (paid), self-guided visits (free), or book a memorable afternoon tea.

Fintry Manor House

Step back in time with the Friends of Fintry and explore the historic Fintry Estate, named by James Dun-Waters after his Scottish hometown. Enjoy Manor House and Octagonal Barn tours Wednesday to Sunday. Don’t miss the Bear Affair Festival on August 17th, featuring an artisan market, live entertainment, bear education, kids’ zone, food, and more. Admission by donation.

Caetani Centre

Discover the rich legacy of the Italian Caetani family and the powerful artwork of Sveva Caetani at the Caetani Centre. On August 14th, the Centre hosts Return to Rome, an Italian dinner and art auction celebrating the first full exhibition of Sveva’s work in Rome, Italy. Enjoy live entertainment, a pasta dinner, and an exciting auction at this unique cultural event. If you haven't explored this historic site, now’s the perfect time.

O'Keefe Ranch 

We ride at dawn! Saddle up and visit Historic O’Keefe Ranch, a homestead founded by two cowboys which are among the region’s earliest settlers. Open on weekends, the ranch features the original mansion, church, blacksmith shop, and general store, all still standing today. As a living museum, it’s also home to live animals. Don’t miss Family Day on August 23, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM, with special activities for all ages.
