Sean Bray Quartet

A regular on the Okanagan music scene for over a decade, Sean Bray recently returned to his hometown of Toronto, and he is already missed. The Vernon Jazz Club is thrilled to host Sean on this brief return visit, for an evening of exceptional guitar, beloved jazz standards and originals. A graduate of New York’s prestigious Manhattan School of Music, and recognized by CBC as one of Canada’s top 50 guitarists, Sean brings a warm, expressive style steeped in blues and melody (All About Jazz). His performances have featured renowned artists like George Garzone, Pat LaBarbera, and Mike Murley, and his recorded work, described by JazzTimes as “note‑bending” and “bristling with bluesy gait” reveals an artist with deep improvisational gifts and dynamic textural range. For this performance, Bray’s band will include Craig Thomson on sax, Stefan Bienz on bass, and Scott Gamble on drums.
