Slay the Dragon is a trail running event located at beautiful Silver Star Mountain Resort, only a short drive up the mountain from the gorgeous lakes of Vernon, BC.
Whether you choose the 13.6km, 25km, or 50km distance, you will start your event at 5200+ feet. Racing to stunning unobstructed views of the Monashee Mountains at an elevation of 6,280 feet whilst running through beautiful single track mountain bike trails of Silver Star Resort.
Kids Race
Welcome to Slay the Baby Dragon, a kids 2.5km out and back FUN event for children aged 0-12 years old. This race is designed to introduce children to the joys of trail running in a safe and exciting environment. Every child who completes the race receives a medallion, and a goodie bag. Slay the Baby Dragon 2.5km event takes place at the start/finish line like our big kids race and is open to children of all ability levels. It is a fantastic opportunity for kids to challenge themselves, have fun, and meet other young trail runners.

Vertical Climb - June 21st, 9am at Silver Star Mountain Resort
1.1 Miles. 480 vertical meters. No trail. No mercy.
This is the Dragon King/Queen Vertical Climb—a gut-punch of a race that charges straight up the Comet Express. No switchbacks, no packed path—just raw mountain and relentless elevation.
You’ll be powering straight through the grass like a fierce dragon, clawing your way to the top with fire in your lungs and thunder in your legs. The mountain won’t give it to you. You’ll have to take it.
