
Celebrate Pride Day with us at this dynamic collaborative community event, bringing together Vernon Pride Week, Arts Council of the North Okanagan (ACNO)’s Plein Air Festival, and the City of Vernon’s GoByBike Week Final Celebration Station — all in one joyful space!
Activities include:
- Crafts, face painting & lawn games
- Community booths & prize draws
- Story time readings
- Food trucks & light busking entertainment
- Plein Air art displays & judging
- Bike Safety Rodeo
- GoByBike Final Celebration Station
- Bike valet service available
Schedule:
12:00 PM event begins.
12:30 PM – Event welcome speeches by Margaret Clarke, Harwinder Sandhu, and Acting Mayor Councillor Kari Gares, and Vernon Pride speech by Dawn Tucker before the Pride March begins.
1:15 PM – City of Vernon speech by Kevin McCarty.
1:30 PM – Bike Safety Rodeo by City of Vernon, in the games area (beside the park’s parking lot).
2:00 PM to 5:00 PM – Queer live music entertainment – showcasing Houseguest, Shannon Ingersoll, and Leila Neverland.
2:15 PM – Children’s Storytime at Vernon Library’s booth.
3:15 PM – Children’s Storytime at Vernon Library’s booth.
4:00 PM – Arts Council of the North Okanagan announces winner of Rail Trail Plein Air Event, followed by City of Vernon and Vernon Pride Society speeches.
5:00 PM - event ends.
