Horse Drawn Okanagan is hosting the second annual scotch tasting event “Whiskers & Whisky” at Black Isle Farms in Enderby, on Saturday, September 20th. It’s a celebration of a few favourite Scottish traditions including visiting with beautiful Clydesdale horses and enjoying some of the best whisky available in the region.
The tasting will be led by Andrew Laird, of Okanagan Spirits. He will guide us through the different qualities of each of the 4 selections available including: Single Malt Whisky, Irish Whiskey, Scotch Whisky, and Bourbon-Style Whiskey. Guests will also enjoy a wagon ride along the alfalfa and oat fields with the Clydesdales, bagpipe music by a member of the Kalamalka Highlanders Pipe Band, and Scottish themed appetizers served out of our Vintage Horse Trailer Bar. Meet our Clydesdales up close then take a ride through the hay fields with a stunning view of the farm. Seating is available at our long table and guests will be supplied with tasting cards.
Farm gates open at 3:00pm (if you’d like to watch the horses get harnessed), the first tasting starts at 4:00pm, and the event wraps up when the sun goes down. Tickets are $75 + GST per person. Pre-registration required.
