With a fiery approach to music, Bulgarian pianist Kristian Alexandrov and his band create an evocative, visceral experience. From Afro-Cuban rhythms, slammin’ blues to hypnotic Balkan-influenced motifs - original compositions explore the jazz/funk spectrum. Powerhouse singer/percussionist Shannon Gaye brings groove-driven material, steeped in Soul, Jazz and R&B tradition. This dynamic duo has produced eight original CDs with performances across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. Joining Kristian and Shannon will be Derek DeFilippo on bass, and Adam Cormier on drums.
