Vernon has an impressive assortment of sports facilities for your event. Here is a brief overview of what is available.
The City of Vernon has three indoor arenas and one outdoor arena. The rinks are used for skating and hockey in the cooler months, and from May to September are used for ball hockey, lacrosse and roller blading.
Vernon's main ice arena and events centre is Kal Tire Place, which is also home to the BCHL - Vernon Vipers and the Arena booking office. Located at 3445 43rd Ave., Vernon, you can check them out online at the Kal Tire Place website.
Vernon's Civic Arena houses the Greater Vernon Minor Hockey Association, as well as adult hockey leagues and recreation services skating lessons. Located at 30th St. and 39th Ave. the arena can hold approximately 2250 spectators.
The Priest Valley Arena shares their ice with figure skaters, speed skaters, ringette and hockey players, as well as public skaters.
Vernon's Centennial Outdoor Rink is open when weather permits. It is located at the Recreation Complex at 3310 - 37th Ave.
The Greater Vernon Athletics Park is right off Highway 97, next door to Okanagan College. The park has tournament-standard lighting, an asphalt base and underlay for the track, and low impact surface and synthetic turf.
Greater Vernon also has a number of courts and fields including: ball diamonds, ball hockey, basketball, pickle ball, skateboards, soccer, tennis, and beach volleyball.
Vernon's Recreation Complex houses the Aquatic Centre, Auditorium, three gyms, the curling club, boxing club and is home to the Priest Valley arena.
