Looking for a place to create? Vernon has space for that. Bring your ideas and creativity and we'll supply the space.
Come for classes or rent a space at the Vernon Community Arts Centre (VCAC).
The Vernon Community Arts Centre has several studios of varying sizes suitable for art classes and member group functions. There are also specialized studios for pottery and glass classes. Glass and pottery studio drop in provides those who already have some experience to work in our studios and meet like-minded people while using the art centre's resources.
The VCAC is operated by the Arts Council of the North Okanagan and provides year round art education to the Greater Vernon area. There are classes in mixed media, painting, clay, drawing, glass bead making, stained glass, glass fusing, silversmithing, graphic arts, fibre arts, acting and creative writing.
Prefer to work at your own pace? Not a problem, the VCAC has studio drop in sessions.
C3, as it is known by the locals, is a place where visual artists from around the world come together to explore art on all levels. There are five artist studios and a shared artist workspace onsite that are in use on a year round basis by local artists and artists participating in the C3 AiR program.
The Caetani Cultural Centre has quality art facilities to allow artists to interact with fellow artists, and experiment and develop new ideas that they share through talks, workshops and exhibitions.
Come as an observer and enjoy their summer music series, or take in A Splash of Red in August, a fundraiser in support of C3's journey to being an established culture centre for local artists, and artists from around the world.
