We know you love your dogs. There are several places where you can stay and play with your dog when you come to Vernon. Once you are settled in, take them to one of our dog beaches.
Download and view a map of all dog beaches here.
Sandy Beach: Your dog will love Sandy Beach where you can both cool off and play in the water at Ellison Provincial Park. Get there by taking the trail leading out of the Ellison Park campground between sites 11 and 12.
Hurlburt Park: A perfect place to launch your canoe, SUP or kayak; this pet-friendly beach comes complete with a dock, swimming platform and picnic tables.
Kin Beach is Vernon’s newest new dog beach. Make sure you follow signage and keep your pet in authorized areas only.
Pet Beach at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park: On a warm day, you'll find lots of dogs playing on the stony beach. You'll find the dog beach between Cosens Bay and Juniper Bay. The stones are small and get larger the deeper you go into the water. Bring water shoes if you want to swim with your four-legged friend. Park in the lot at the end of Kidston Road (Jade & Juniper), and walk along the Crest Trail; it's a 10 minute walk to the pet beach.
