Hike or bike these trails for some incredible lake views and experiences.
Bring along your camera for some of the best valley and lake views in the area. Starting at Cosen's Bay Parking lot the Lookout circuit follows “Comin' Around the Mountain” and heads up "the Wall” a well named trail that takes you straight up to the top of the Lookout.
The Lookout offers some of the best lake views in the valley and has a fun descent down the other side of the hump. Try adding on Little Moab for some rocky slab hiking or biking. Once you finish the lookout you can take the Coral/switchbacks back down to Sidewinder to the Gingerly trail through the grasslands and back to the Parking Lot. It's a 12 km loop with 511m of climbing. This is a must hike or ride for people checking out the area.
Breathtaking views of our colourful Kalamalka lake, you can walk, wheel, push or pull your way along the abandoned highway route, just off of hwy 97 on the way to Kelowna. The occasional car may drive by as it serves as a local road to adjacent properties.
The Okanagan Rail Trail is a truly unique experience, with a total length of 50 km starting at the north end of Kalamalka Lake and ending at the center of Okanagan Lake, downtown Kelowna. With the trail being a maximum grade of 1.3%, biking or walking the trail is a breeze.
Surrounded by 360° jaw-dropping scenery, Swan Lake is a birding mecca during migration periods of April through May and August through September.
Interpretive signs identify the wildlife, describe ecology and recount the history of this unique lake and wetland. Bring your binoculars and use the interpretive signs to help identify your sightings. Be aware that sometimes the trail can be flooded in spring.
