Unleash your inner science nerd and enjoy a wide range of interactive exhibits at the Okanagan Science Centre (OSC). There are plenty of hands-on exhibits at the OSC based on scientific principles including: sound, electricity and magnetism, light and optics, mechanics, astronomy and space science.
OSC does general tours and also offers special programing for school breaks, birthday parties, and field trips. You can learn more on their upcoming events and programs pages.
Get your hands on and meet the critters, take a spin on the gyro chair or come for stories about the night sky.
History
The heart of OSC is an old Vernon schoolhouse, built in 1893. Additions were later made to the rear (west) and left (south) sides. The OSC is a registered Municipal Heritage Site as it is the oldest surviving brick schoolhouse in BC.
