Vernon, BC – On September 19 & 20, 2026, you’re invited to “Know Your Farmer, Explore the BX”—a chance to connect with local food and animals, meet the farmers behind them, local artisans and explore all that Vernon’s beautiful BX region has to offer.
The BX, known for its rich agricultural history, is home to a thriving network of farms, trails, and hidden gems. The 6th Annual BX Farm Tour is a family-friendly, self-guided event featuring farmstands, artisans, tours and on-farm activities. Whether you want to spend an afternoon or the entire weekend, the BX Farm Tour is yours to explore, your way.
What to Expect
Farmstands & Shopping – Browse fresh, local produce and handmade goods straight from the farm.
Artisans - Each stop features a talented local artist or potter showcasing their craft.
Self-Guided & Organized Tours – Learn about farming practices and discover new places.
Fun for All Ages – Participate in family-friendly activities, and events across the BX.
New This Year – Four new farms and two new spots of interest have joined the lineup.
Prizes & Activities
Pick up a BX Farm Tour Passport and stop at all 11 farm tour locations for your chance to win the Grand Harvest Basket, filled with farmer-donated goodies. Kids (and adults too!) can enter the BX Farm Tour colouring contest, featuring a local visiting black bear, for a chance to win prizes.
Know Your Farmer Celebration Dinner
Don’t miss the Know Your Farmer Celebration Dinner at Cambium Cider Co. on Thursday, September 24th. Enjoy a locally-sourced meal in a stunning orchard setting, surrounded by farmers, friends, and neighbours. Tickets are limited, last year’s dinner sold out —reserve early!
