Big things are growing outdoors this season! Join us for a free, vibrant, one-day festival-style celebration of nature, learning, and community across the Okanagan and Similkameen. This lively event brings together passionate organisations, educators, and changemakers like the Okanagan and Similkameen Invasive Species Society, BC Bats, Ribbons of Green Trails Society, and the Armstrong Wetlands Association, the Grasslands Conservation Council and many more – all sharing ways to protect and enjoy the places we love.

Drop in for our bite-sized 15-minute “Nature Nibbles” talks throughout the day and discover everything from migratory birds and the Meadowlark Nature Festival to how you can help preserve our region’s natural beauty, tranquility and rural lifestyle. Learn why BC’s grasslands – covering just 1% of the province – support an incredible 30% of species at risk. Meet foraging expert Mikaela Cannon and explore the world of wild plants, or uncover the hidden gem of McKergow Meadows in Coldstream.

Families are in for fun, too! Kids can grab a Nature Passport, collect stickers at five booths to earn their very own Okie badge. If you’re an art lover, come and meet local artist Mandi Irmen as she works on her latest nature-inspired creation.  Plus, fuel your adventure with Samosa Joes –  they’ll be serving fresh coffee, muffins, and delicious samosas all day long.

Come curious, stay inspired, and celebrate nature with your neighbours!
