Vernon’s Last Day of School Gets Its Own Concert

Multi-Platinum Singer-Songwriter Andrew Allen Brings “School's Out LIVE!” to the DND Grounds on June 25

VERNON, BC — April 17 2026 — The last day of school is an accomplishment. For students, for parents, for teachers and for the community. And it’s worth celebrating! This year, Vernon is doing exactly that, the right way: with a full-tilt summer kickoff concert under the Okanagan sky.

School's Out LIVE! Presented by 107.5 Beach Radio, comes to the DND Grounds on June 25, 2026, the final day of the school year for students across School District 22. Multi-platinum Canadian singer-songwriter Andrew Allen headlines the event, joined by local high school artists/bands (selected through an audition process). Food trucks, family-friendly open lawn seating and a separate licensed beer garden, make for a summer evening the whole family can share.

Allen grew up in Coldstream, graduated from Kal Secondary, and has since earned 5x Top 10 hits, had his songs in TV shows, movies, on Grammy nominated albums and Multi-Platinum releases as well as toured internationally with Bruno Mars, OneRepublic, Train and Andy Grammer. School's Out LIVE! is his way of bringing that level of live music experience home, and treating the end of the school year the way he always believed it should be treated: like something worth celebrating!

"Growing up I remember the last day of school always felt like the launch into summer, you just wanted to meetup with your friends and throw a party" Allen said. "I wanted to create an evening that matched that feeling, and give this community a way to celebrate. School’s out, summer is here. Let's go!”

The event will feature an opening lineup of Vernon's own young musicians, chosen through an application and audition process (details on how to apply below), and $1 from every ticket will go to support YISH, (Youth Integrated Services Hub), and the incredible work they do with youth across the North Okanagan.
