The Sundog Festival kicks off with an outdoor DJ Dance Party on Friday, September 18th in Polson Park—a vibrant, high‑energy celebration that sets the tone for the entire weekend.
Saturday, September 19th is a joyful, community‑driven celebration that begins with the Unity Walk—featuring an Elder welcome, horses and riders, a drumming group, kids on bicycles, and hundreds of participants moving together in the spirit of connection and Reconciliation. The rest of the afternoon and evening is filled with live music.
Both days feature live music, artisan vendors, food trucks, the Funtastic beer garden, and a vibrant atmosphere.
This free, all‑ages gathering brings the community together to celebrate creativity, connection, and the start of two days of arts and culture to kick off Culture Days in Vernon.
