Whether you plan ahead for your holiday shopping or leave it till the last minute, Vernon is full of winter markets to help you support local this season. The first winter markets kick-off in November and we invite you to see what the local makers and artisans are crafting up.

Frostival is Back
Back after a very successful first year, the Downtown Vernon Association presents Frostival on Thursday November 27th from 4 - 8pm. Stroll along 30th Avenue (Main Street) for a pedestrian plaza and enjoy live music, performances, carolers, vendors and Santa's arrival. Get your holiday shopping done while many stores are open late that evening.
Indoor Family Fun
Okanagan Science Centre's newest exhibit, Wild Weather, starts November 1st. This immersive travelling exhibit explores science, power, and impact of severe weather. Discover how climate change is influencing weather events around the world through interactive displays and hands-on experiences.
Step into another dimension and battle and become a hero 'another world' with your friends and family at Vernon's newest virtual reality arena, Another World.

SilverStar Mountain Resort's tentative opening day for nordic trails is November 21 and for alpine is November 28. Lock in that winter vacation as you don't want to miss out on another season of fun.
Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre will open their world-class groomed trails in November when snow conditions allow. With high-elevation terrain and snow conditions, Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre has one of the longest seasons in Canada. We can't wait for you to come and explore the trails this winter.
