Day 1: Arrive and unwind

Stretch out car-cramped muscles with a gentle yoga class, and set your intention for your getaway. Try a drop-in class at One Yoga Vernon - in addition to favourites like their $5 Thursday flow class, they host monthly events. Or treat yourself to a one-of-a-kind experience at Noble Yoga - they offer seven classes tuned to your needs, offered in a regular rhythm through the day.

In the afternoon, soothe your skin with a spa treatment. Some of our favourites: 

  • Healing Garden Vernon: Offers aesthetic services as well as massages from RMTs.
  • Right downtown (near some of our best restaurants!), you’ll find Crave Massage and Spa. Offering a range of treatments, this is perfect for folks looking for a strolling-distance treatment. 
  • Visit the Just For You Spa and Salon for a range of spa treatments and medi-spa treatments. Keep your eye on their last-minute specials for extra chances to treat yourself.  

Finish your first day in Vernon with an evening walk under the trees - check out our local trail recommendations for a nice walk. For golden hour magic, be sure to visit one of our favourite spots to soak in the sunset.

Day 2: Restore and go deeper

This is your day to rise and shine. Start your morning with brunch at one of Vernon’s cafés - try The Roxy Cafe for vegan/vegetarian offerings like their Breaky-wich, or a nourishing power bowl at Fig Bistro.

In the afternoon, enjoy a longer package at a day spa. We recommend: 

  • A cold plunge and sauna at Cedar & Soak,
  • A massage and contrasting hydrotherapy at Rain Wellness,
  • Or, if you’re looking for a retreat experience, try Serenity Peaks and Waters - you can pair up one of their more intensive itineraries with this relaxed one to bookend your stay. 
Wrap up your day with an unhurried dinner that’s all about enjoyment. Masiero Pizzeria Napoletana has the best wood-fired pizza in Vernon. Featuring fresh ingredients and inspired flavour combinations like smoked honey and whipped ricotta, it’s the kind of menu that will help you capture the spirit of la dolce vita. Or, recharge with sushi - Kawakubo Vernon offers  a rich menu of options for every taste. Day 3: Awaken and explore

Feeling energized? Vernon is the Trails Capital of BC, and with over 500 km of trails to choose from, you’re bound to find your new favourite place. Some mindful ways to explore nature: 

  • Nordic skiing at Sovereign Lake. Located at the foot of Silver Star mountain, this is the best place to experience gliding through our quiet snowy woods. If you prefer a peaceful walk, Predator Ridge boasts 1300 acres of pristine snow-shoeing trails. 
  • Immerse yourself in Syilx and Secwepemc storytelling, drumming, singing and more with Ancestral Heartbeat Tours. Join your guide Laura for a plant and medicine hike at Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, or explore workshops rooted in authentic Indigenous teachings and experiential, holistic, land based learning. Activities may include pine needle medallions or devil's club beads, as well as drumming and singing. 
  • Explore Silver Star mountain’s magical 2.5 acre natural ice rink on Brewer's Pond. Rent skates on site, and spend your afternoon tracing easy loops surrounded by snow-covered forest.
