DAY 1: BALLOON GLOW (FEB 6)
Kick off the Vernon Winter Carnival in style with the Hot Air Balloon Glow at the Village Green Shopping Centre parking lot, a must-see event that promises an evening of wonder and delight.
The event kicks off at 4 pm and goes till 8 pm. This breathtaking sight (dependent on weather and fuel) offers a unique spectacle for approximately 45 minutes, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere in the winter darkness. The balloon will glow from 6 to 7:30 pm.
DAY 2: 65TH ANNUAL PARADE (FEB 7)
Experience the excitement of the beloved 65th Annual Vernon Winter Carnival Parade on Saturday, February 7, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm. The Parade celebrates this years theme 'Team Carnival - Canada Goes for Gold' and will be winding through the heart of Vernon. Bring your friends and family, enjoy the festive atmosphere, and vote for your favourite entry!
DAY 2: SIP & SAVOUR (FEB 7)
Join in the fun at one of the Okanagan's most popular showcase of craft beer, cider and wine is back again. There will be 25+ vendors offering tastings in exchange for tokens. Raise your glass, toast the True North, and enjoy a night to remember!
DAY 3: SOVEREIGN LAKE'S TOUR DE SOUP (FEB 8)
Parade your best red, white and maple leaf winter gear and head out on the trails Sunday afternoon to sample some delicious soup along the way. Tickets are $5 (cash preferred) and go to 'Jess4Kids' a fund promoting affordable snowsports for children and youth. Don't forget to bring your own mug or bowl for soup.
DAY 7: AROUND THE WORLD AT THE EDGE (FEB 12)
Celebrate the Olympic spirit as you make your way around the world to sip and taste different countries. Each room at The Edge Restaurant at The Rise Resort will transform to a different country with exotic drinks and global flavours.
DAY 7: A WINTER'S NIGHT PAINTING PARTY (FEB 12)
Explore your creative side at Caetani Centre for a paint party. Create a Sveva Caetani-inspired painting from her heralded Recapitulation Series - that was mostly painted in the 80s. Enjoy Italian wine, cheese and socializing while painting your own art to take home.
DAY 7: COCA COLA CLASSIC PEEWEE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT (FEB 12-15)
Don't miss the 53rd Annual Coca-Cola Classic Peewee Hockey Tournament from February 12-15, at Kal Tire Place. Witness the future stars of hockey in one of Western Canada's premier tournaments.
DAY 9: FAMILY FUN PARK FIREWORKS NIGHT (FEB 14)
Get ready for an exhilarating day at the Family Fun Park on Saturday, February 14, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Kal Beach in Coldstream. Bring your Canadian spirit and celebrate the Vernon way with hot chocolate, face painting, and an array of exciting games. As the sun sets, prepare to be mesmerized by a spectacular fireworks show! Entrance to the Family Fun Park is by donation.
DAY 10: APRES SKI PARTY (FEB 15)
Celebrate the grand finale celebration of Vernon Winter Carnival at SilverStar Mountain Resort for an apres ski party. Enjoy music, dancing, cocktails and all around good vibes after your day on the mountain. Bring your crew and close out Vernon Winter carnival in true Canadian alpine style.
