Keep cool during our sizzling Okanagan summers as you have fun on the water wakeboarding, water skiing, knee boarding, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkelling.
Experience the rush of the wind in your hair and feel your adrenaline pump as you waterski or wakeboard on the colourful waters of Kalamalka Lake. If you didn't bring your own equipment, don't worry; you can rent boats, skis, lifejackets and more, from several local boat rental outfits. (Do a Google search for rentals near you.)
For something a little different, try bouncing across the surface on an inner tube or try knee boarding where you kneel on your heels as you're whisked across the lake.
For some relaxing time on the water, hop in a canoe or kayak and explore the various coves and inlets of our lakes.
Try your hand at stand up paddle board. It's a great way to get in touch with nature and your balance as you navigate the water. Lessons and rentals are available at Kalavida Surf Shop on Kalamalka beach.
Should you prefer a water sport below the water, head over to Ellison Provincial Park where you'll find the only marine dive park in the Okanagan. Snorkel and scuba dive to your hearts content on the north-eastern shore of Okanagan Lake. Innerspace Watersports has scuba lessons and gear, as well as paddle sports gear.
